Description
Anselm Viola (1738-1798) composed what we might call the first pedagogical studies for bassoon, even before those that appear in the famous method of Ozi first published in 1787 and extended in the period 1800-1803. In them we can observe the most remote possibilities and technical demands of the classical bassoon of the second half of the c. XVIII. The 18 studies, which still present some difficulty to be executed with the modern bassoon, are also a reflection of the predominant instrumental musical style in Montserrat Monastery.
Edition of Guillermo Beltrán. Editorial Piles. Edition in Spanish.
